HGH and B12 Popularity Among Celebrities

May 27th, 2008    Posted by: admin

There’s been so much talk in the entertainment business among high profiled celebrities whether they are in the music industry, sports world or are actors/actresses about human growth hormones and Vitamin B12 shots.

Recently Sylvester Stallone was interviewed on The Today Show about his use of human growth hormones (HGH) for an upcoming movie. Discussion of the use of HGH (an immino acid) was used for his role as Rambo and he was detained while out of the country in Australia. Sly talks about and defends it by saying “it takes off the wear and tear of your body” and helps expedite the process and “enhances” what’s already been accomplished by working out and that it doesn’t create an “instant” result.

Other cases of celebrity profiles for use of HGH enhancements are the husband and wife duo - Marion Jones and Tim Montgomery (both sprinters in the Olympics), Roger Clemens (former pitcher for the Yankees, Boston Red Sox and the Houston Astros) although denied), Andy Petitte (A current starting pitcher for the New York Yankees who admitted to the use of HGH), Jose Canseco (former slugger for the Oakland A’s) and the list goes on and on.

It also seems that B12 shots are becoming increasingly popular as a means to give a boost of energy. One would think celebrities are “promoting” the use of B12 injections because there’s so much hype about it.

This week a story broke about how Madonna said during her induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 10th 2008, that she administered a B12 shot to Justin Timberlake’s “back side” while in the studio doing a recording for her new album. He recalls when he was feeling ill and Madonna whipped out a Ziploc baggie full of B12 shots out of her purse and told him to “drop em” as Justin recalls but Madonna later corrected him and said she told him to “pull his pants down”.

Roger Clemens - B12 Injections

Making the news in recent times is New York Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens and the allegations of steroid use for sports enhancing performance. Roger Clemens denies any use of steroids, however he does admit that he did use B12 injections (also known as Lipotropic injections) along with Lidocaine. As we know Vitamin B12 provides a boost of energy and some athletes tend to think that it provides an increase of oxygen supply to the muscles. This is argumentative as some feel that when B12 is injected in large quantities, it provides a quick boost or quick enhancement of performance for athletes. But, there is no evidence of this. Keep in mind that there are individuals who need to take Vitamin B12 supplements for legitimate reasons such as a person that has a B12 deficiency or those individuals who are vegetarian and need a supplement because they do not get the B12 through natural forms of meats, eggs, and dairy products.

*You should always consult your doctor or health care provider before taking B12.

Britney Spears and B12 Benefits That Could Help

March 16th, 2008    Posted by: admin

We have all read in a tabloid at the checkout stand or postings online about Britney’s erratic behaviors lately. In fact, most of us are probably pretty tired of reading the headlines and stories about her behavior about if she’s going to get her boys back or if she’s been involuntarily committed to the hospital, etc. It’s papparazzi madness. And I’ll admit, I’m guilty of reading the stories about Britney posted on sites like TMZ and other celebrity gossip sites. TMZ has their own page dedicated to Britney Spears gossip and latest updates.

Well, maybe Britney Spears could benefit from B12. Here are some benefits that have been reported as results from taking Vitamin B12 that could in fact help Britney:

  • Improve mood stabilization.
  • Reduce stress and depression

So what are her doctors waiting for? Maybe someone should tell her dad, Jamie Spears to check into her options since he was recently quoted in People Magazine saying she was “out of control”.

Vitamin B12 Good for Your Health

Some may question whether or not Vitamin B12 is really a major factor when it comes to losing weight. If you fall into this category and admit you are a skeptic you should at least give it a shot (no pun intended). Schedule a routine visit to your doctors office and consult with him/her first. Remember, B12 shots are not prescription based and you can buy B12 shots online. In my readings through many articles it’s apparent that more and more are willing to give it a try. Some do find that it gives them the boost of engergy, enough to get their workout in when they’re feeling low on energy and others find that it’s just a great stress reducer and others may say they enhance the beauty of their skin.

B12 is just good for the body. If you haven’t already given it a try you should think about it. Do your homework, research it online and consult with your doctor if you feel it’s necessary.

Exploring your B12 options for weight loss?

  •  B12 Patch - Placing a small patch (about the size of a dime) at the back of your neck behind the earlobe for a 24 hour period. Delivers B12 through absorption of the skin and directly into the blood stream.
  • B12 Shot - Typically injected 1-3 times a week. Typically providing you with burst of energy within 6-12 hours.

  • B12 Vitamin (Diet Supplement Pill)  - Non-prescription strength pill, yet pharmaceutical grade to enhance energy.

  • Whatever weight loss option you choose,  you should always consult your doctor first. However, you should know that your B-12 options are now available to you via the internet and over the counter. You should have a solid diet plan in place to accompany your B12 injections, vitamins, or B12 patch, especially if you plan on losing weight at a rapid pace. Excercise should also be incorporated.
